Trying to persuade people with fears of no player base just makes that "problem" worse. If you own a console and a good PC, there is no real reason to not get this on PC. Only because people like you make it a self fulfilling prophecy. Originally posted by Crash:All I can say is if you have a ps4 or xbone then buy this game for one of those, I'm doing exactly that on my ps4 simply down to the simple fact that consoles are the larger market for these kind of games, the same goes for games like battlefield and CoD, so if you want your game to live longer and have a larger pool of players to be matched with, then go for console, otherwise go for the slightly cheaper alternative (PC) which will most likely dwindle in players after not too long at all. It's just that the companies have been burned in the past, and too many of the old timers in charge just want to sail forward in the same fashion they did in the 80s, 90s, and 2000s.

Rocket league was a huge boon, showing a 3rd party game feature Crossplay between PC/PS4. M$ is finally seeing the value in crossplay, and as such is investing in Minecraft as well as their Windows Xbox platform. Square has the money and talent to lead crossplay, which they've done with both FF11 and 14. $team/Valve didn't, and still doesn't seem to care one way or the other. GFWL flopped so M$ stopped their crossplay attempts for awhile. Than $ony had that HUGE hack like 6 years ago which made them ultra paranoid and made M$ nervous. Xbox was hacked a long long time ago when FF11 was new (the hackers were able to use the PC version of FF11 to worm their way into Xbox's servers), and $ony updated their conditions that crossplay would only be had if PC and Xbox matched their strict security guidelines. You can blame the hardware manufactures for that.
